Nike have been at the forefront of trainers both for the sporting and fashion sectors for several decades. Originally the company was launched as a footwear distributor, selling other trainer brands at athletic meetings and latterly their own store before deciding to create their own range of Nike Trainers with the majority featuring the iconic Nike Swoosh logo. Their big break as a company was developing the gel based 'air' capsule for the soles of their footwear which gave athletes both support and comfort. On the back of this Nike created their now legendary Nike Air Max model which is still sold today.
