The shoe and footwear manufacturer is Spanish in its origin and was first launched back in 1975 by Lorenzo Fluxa. He inherited a shoe manufacturing plant from his late father and decided to create and launch the Camper brand. The new direction was a success and by 1982 they had opened their first stand alone store in the Spanish coastal city of Barcelona which exclusively stocked Camper Shoes. By the beginning of the next decade they started to expand internationally opening stores in premier retail locations in London and Milan.
